Armin was a 3 sport athlete at Hanover High School, a semi-pro football player for the York White Roses and the Chambersburg Cardinals and a baseball player for the Brushtown Bulldogs. However, he is best know as the founder of the Trail-way Speedway in 1972 which has hosted 44 continuous years of racing, including: short track, motorcycles, motocross, sprint cars, late models, stock cars, midgets and go-karts. In 1978 he founded “Motorama” which is held annually at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. As a competitor he raced motorcycles having once raced in the Daytona 200. He has been inducted into the York County Racing Club Hall of Fame. He passed away in 2015 at the age of 87.
